Be warned that depends can increase your risk of getting a yeast infection as they don't breathe very well. I found this out the hard way 😞 the minute I told my OB I had a yeast infection, she asked if I had been wearing depends. She said she sees it all the time. Isn't that what you want on top of stitches trying to heal from a 4th degree tearing 🙄 it sucked. Def get dermoplast and tucks pads. My favorite pads were these always memory foam pads. I got the overnight ones. The woven and cotton pads tugged on my stitches. These were the only ones that didn't. My husband (being the amazing man he was) bought a huge case of perineal ice packs for me off amazon, which were AMAZING!!!!! Also, get a good water tumbler to keep next to you (especially if you're nursing), I preferred one with a straw so you don't have to get all the way up. And lots of quick and easy snacks! If you are nursing, I would also get some nipple cream, and good nursing pads. I liked the washable bamboobies ones during the day and disposable pads for nighttime. Best of luck!!!

Padcicles. They're the easiest thing in the world to make. Have them ready for when you come home and take some to the hospital with you as well. Take a pad, put some aloe and witch hazel on it and leave it in the freezer. TRUST ME...you want this. Those ice packs they give you in the hospital that you shake or whatever only last about 30seconds. These padcicles are amazing they are by far the best thing I brought and next time I'll be sure to bring them again. Just make sure you have plenty made waiting in advance because once you're home recovering you don't have the energy to keep making them as fast as you go through them.

make sure you have a night dress just in case you have a c section. It did not feel good to have anything waistband like near my incision! And granny panties too of course (I took a bunch of the stretchy medical ones home from the hospital and was glad I did).
