Escitalopram 5mg

Have to see my therapist tomorrow and I want to get my xanax that's 1mg up to 2mg if he can agree I need it. But has anyone ever taken Escitalopram? I lie to my doctor and tell him that yea I do take it. But in reality I only take my benzodiazepines (xanax) and some nights I take doxepin if I run out of my Xanax. To help me sleep. The reason I lie to the doctor is cause I'm afraid to take the Escitalopram with what I've read online about it. It's a long term "treatment" it even takes a few weeks of me taking them daily to kick in. ( don't know never took one) anyone can shed some light thanks
