Hotel not paying 😡
So I need to rant. My husband and I had to travel 9 hours (which turned into 12 with a toddler and animals) for work. We left early but because of traffic, stops, detours, road closings, and the hurricane, we ended up getting here at 2am. I checked the website of the hotel AND called ahead. Both said 24 hour check in, just call the front desk. Well, we get here, and call 10 times. No answer. Then we use a phone inside the hotel that has check in instructions, no answer. Banged on the front door desk, nothing. Looked in the window, no ones there. So we call the customer service and tell them that no one is here, they then call back 10 minutes later said they just spoke to someone and they will be down shortly. We wait, no ones there. We call again 10 times. Nothing, it's now 4am. My husband has to leave for work at 4:40. He only slept 2 hours. We had to book a hotel room for 2 nights (had to pay for 2 nights when really it was one night) which was $150. Mind you, we are dead broke. He called them the next day and they are saying they will not pay for the $150, and they cannot do anything else because they are not a 24 hour check in. (Remember, the website says otherwise and we called ahead) we will be sleeping outside now. I have a toddler and two animals. All because they won't give money back and pay for what they did wrong.
