Breastfeeding/ Whole Journey

Alexandra

Long story short, back in high school I took a lot of antibiotics for reoccurring bladder infections and this has caused a candida over growth over the years. My symptoms were manageable before, but combined with an unhealthy diet they have gotten worse and noticeable. I'm 28 weeks pregnant, I came across the Whole Journey sight that sells all the tools I need to finally get my body right, recipes for foods that won't grow the candida, and herbal supplements that will target and starve the growth, which causes die off symptoms that I'm not sure would affect my baby or not so I'm putting off this cleanse until she's born. BUT I've always known I wanted to breast feed, I'm worried I won't be able to and to be honest it's beyond disappointing. I'm taking a list of these supplements into my OBGYN to figure out a plan. I've been living with these symptoms for over 4 years, the longer I wait the worse it gets, sooner or later it'll cause chronic digestive and immune issues, now that I have everything that I need I'm choosing not to put this off any longer. I was wondering if anyone has any advice, the cleanse is only 8-10 weeks, she will be a month old when I may have to switch her to formula depending on the safety of the supplements. Is it a possibility to pump and dump for that long and be able to still produce milk to switch back from formula? I keep hearing a baby's saliva and the specific way they suck is the only way milk keeps producing.

Also if anyone's tried the Whole Journey candida cleanse please any advice would be appreciated, ESPECIALLY if you had the same dilemma!

Thank you!
