Hymen still intact after sex??

Okay so.. My hymen never broke. Ive been with my fiancé for six years. 5 of those we've been sexually active. His size isn't the issue.. he's thicker than average, and as you can imagine this produces a bit of pain/discomfort more often than I'd like. Neither of us is a fan of lubes, at all. so that's kind of a big issue.

I have no basis of comparison, he's the only sexual partner I've had. But I DID read that some women have thicker hymens, and that's why they don't break.

So the pain during sex is a pretty big problem. But now that we're TTC im even MORE concerned bc I'm pretty sure a baby is going to devastate/rip the skin. Also low key embarrassed to see gynos because I think they'll either think im lying about being active or assume my partner is lacking in that department.

So.. is anyone else this way? Or is having an intact hymen at this stage really odd?

just confused/embarrassed and have no one to really talk to about this.
