Guy advice

(In advance sorry about it being so long I'm just going to tell the full story the question where I ask for advice is at the end if you just want to answer that thanks loves ❤️) About 2 months ago during the summer one of my friends had a party and this guy that I went to my summer art class was there and we started talking again. we hadn't talked in a couple of weeks and stuff and he kinda flirted with me and I of course thought he was cute and I even thought that during summer school and stuff so we started texting the next day. I kinda didn't want to fully let myself like him because I was scared he wouldn't feel the same way but we started talking everyday for about 3 weeks (he was texting me first more times than I did) after those like 3-4 weeks of talking we were talking about this spot my friend showed me at the beach and he asked if I would go with him so I said yes. I talked to the friend that showed me (she's also friends with him) and she said we should go as a group so it was me,him,my friend, and my crushes twin brother all at the beach. When we were there he was flirting with me and mostly walking with me and if we were in the water he would like splash me and we'd joke around and stuff. My friend and the twin brother went back to the shore and left me with just my crush. We started joking about the waves and I was just staring at the water until he put his arms around my waist and kinda like picked me up and he just kinda held me for a while and it was really cute so we went back to his house after and we started watching a scary movie and he started cuddling with me while we made jokes making fun of the movie. After that the next week he came to my house and we started watching another movie and cuddling and stuff and during the movie he grabbed the side of my face and pulled me in (this is my first time kissing anyone before) and so we made out during the movie and my dad caught us making out (talk about awkward 😂😂) after that we kinda just played a board game with my parents and some family friends that showed up while he was there and we talked and had a good time. He ended up kissing me goodbye so I think that means it went well..? 😂 about a week or two later when school started he stopped talking to as much so I asked him what we were. He told me "idk what we are. I like you but I think we should just be friends because I won't have time for you" (he has a job, basketball, and school so of course I understood) and it didn't bother me at first. There's this really pretty girl at my school who he went to homecoming with last year and now asked again I'm not sure if they're just friends or not he went to a concert with her and some of his friends so maybe they are. My question is if bad that it still kinda bothers me after 2-3 weeks after he said we should just be friends?? And any other advice about guys would be super helpful I'm definitely knew about this whole kind of stuff!! 😂 thanks so much!! ❤️❤️
