Long distance "relationship"
So I just need some opinions... I just got out of a year and a half relationship and I've been searching for a new man. A guy I met about a year ago while I was with my ex slid into my dms about 2 months ago (btw he is sexy af) we starting talking and eventually exchanged numbers. Getting to know him has been amazing and I think he is perfect and I really want a relationship with him and he claims he wants the same. He did everything right for like the first month, he sent good morning texts, asked about my day and we texted everyday...
the problem is that he lives 4 hours away from me and we have only seen each other in person once when he came to visit for the weekend and stayed at my place. I hate that I can't see him and I hate that we only text. He has an android so we can't FaceTime but we can video chat over other apps. When I recommended this he comes up with a lame excuse about why he can't. He now texts me randomly like every other day which makes me think he's not interested but he send kissy emojis and things to make me think he is. I'm emotionally attached to him (no, we haven't had sex) and idk if I should be worried about what he's doing or who he is talking to where he is. He told me he would come see me this weekend and flaked on me. In the past, my long distance relationships have been unsuccessful and a lot of my friends have been hurt by a guy they were with long distance that had a whole other girlfriend on the side
Should I tell him we should just be friends with him to avoid getting hurt or should I see where this goes?
