put on the pill. feeling bummed :(

went to my gp yesterday as my period seems to have vanished. 66 days with no cycle to be exact. my hubby is 41 and we have been ttc for a year. told me first step to get me regular is 2 to 3 months on the pill. feeling pretty discouraged knowing I definitely wont be preggo till the new year at least. on the plus side we got the referral for the fertility specialist. feeling bummed out! my first 2 kids were so easy to conceive. fingers crossed we get into the fertility specialist soon as it can be up to 6 months :(
