Parents and in laws.

Megan

The absolute worst thing about being pregnant living far away from my parents and in laws is that they both want to come for over a week and want to stay with me and my husband after the baby is born. I am a very solitary person, I like my quiet life in my quiet home and both groups of parents are constantly talking or tapping or making noise. I have a hard enough time not snapping at them now, how's it going to be when I haven't slept in weeks? My husband seems fine with this, and he even wants me to leave my 2 week old alone with his parents (who aren't good with small children) for a whole night! I'm not comfortable with this at all. I'm not sure if there is anything I can actually do though.

Rant time: My father in law is in town right now and has been here for less than 24 hours. I'm so ready for him to leave. We went out shopping this afternoon and I really should have driven myself since I was only needed at the first stop. My husband drives an Element and the back seat is not easy to get in and out of unless you are used to it (which I am) so I sat back there and my father in law would not leave me alone. He would open the door and try to help me in and out. I know I sound like a bitch, but help only makes it harder. I just want to be left alone. We just got home and I'm hiding in my room to get away from the noise and hubbub in the rest of the house.
