Anyone else?

Question

I found out my baby's umbilical cord only has 2 vessels? Anyone else? I've been so worried since finding out! I just want her to be okay 😢

I found out at my anatomy scan my daughter has one. I broke down when i first heard the news, then i googled (that made it so much worse). Finally talked to my doctor a week later, she said she's seen it before and everything turned out fine. Said she isn't concerned about down syndrome or trisomy 18. Said we really only have to watch her growth. That was a brief conversation we had just to kind of calm my nerves. My next appointment is on the 25th so I'm sure I'll have more information then. But the only advise I have is try to relax and think positive, I've heard more success stories than bad.

My best friend had this with her last baby. She had to have a few more ultrasounds and a little more monitoring than with her previous pregnancies, but she now has a healthy happy 6 month old.

I had it with my daughter, she was perfectly healthy not a single complication other than being on the smaller side! 
We had to go to the high risk doctor more often to check up on her. At one point her kidney was enlarged which they said by our next appointment may fix itself - which it did!  Had the high risk appointments until 32 weeks when I was "graduated" from high risk, since my daughter was still growing at a great rate. 
She was born at 37 weeks at 6lbs 12oz and 18.5 inches long. Via vaginal delivery - another possible issue with it is that baby MIGHT go into distress a little sooner than a baby with a normal cord - so there is a possibility of c-section. My daughter was fine - started an induction on Thursday evening, broke water at 2pm Friday and she was born Saturday morning @ 7:39 - so once water was broke she went through 17hrs of labor and we didn't need a c-section.
