How Fast Did Your Contractions Begin?

How quick did your labor (not Braxton Hicks) contractions come on and how far apart we're they to begin with? I'm 39 + 1 and I feel/see no end in sight other than I'm dilated 2cm and 80% effaced. No lost mucous plug, no water breaking, no bloody show. Just heavy Braxton Hicks... I'm getting discouraged!

When I went to the hospital my water had already broken at home. 20 minutes after I got there they told me my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. I wasn't feeling them.

I woke up to mine and they were about 8 to 10 minutes apart. I was 36 weeks exactly

Water breaking before labor happens to 10% of people and if contractions don't start immediately there can be complications. Losing the mucus plug and/or having a bloody show can happen in labor. I know you're anxious. Just try to relax and trust the process. You won't be pregnant forever.

My water broke and they started almost immediately after. But I had no BH before that
