Body lotion on breasts?

I realize this sounds like a very stupid question but...can you put regular body lotion on your breasts and nipples? I've always put lotion on my chest but just kinda skipped over breasts but now that I'm pregnant the skin on my breasts and nipples is getting dry and I'd love some relief! I use bath and body works scented body creams in the tube usually. If no lotion what's a safe alternative? Coconut oil? Vitamin e? I also have palmers stretch mark lotion...

If your skin is dry, scented lotion in general isn't a good idea. I would use coco butter if you want a scent or whatever unscented lotion.

I do it. It should be fine. But if your breast feeding use the lanisol kind I believe it's spelled on your nipples because it's used for breastfeeding and is safe because it seems to work for cracks better than a regular cream does also I think a regular cream when your breastfeeding may cause some issues with baby breastfeeding and also may pose an infection risk to your nipples if they crack.

Its ok. But after the baby is born i guess if your gonna breastfeed then id stop. Or use the stuff made for nipples. I myself juat stopped i been breastfeeding for 7 mo now so i feel no lotion is best.

It's perfectly okay. If you're worried about it, use coconut oil. Coconut oil works wonders.

I've always put cream on my breasts since my skin is dry all around. but I'd try fragrance free and hypoallergenic ones since you're pregnant... eucerin works great and you can choose from lotion and cream (doctors always te me to use cream). hope this helps!
