I am wondering for a friend can I blood test for genital herpes being wrong my friend went into the clinic recently and tested positive for genital herpes Through Blood and five months ago she tested negative for herpes 1 and herpes 2 and she has not had any outbreaks or anything but the reason why she went to go get tested because her boyfriend out of 6 years went off and cheated on her about 4 months ago and did it a few times with the same girl and she just recently found out about it and he started getting like blisters and stuff on his private and he went in and got tested and when she saw that those marks and figured out that he has been cheating on her she went in to go get tested and her test results just came back yesterday and herpes one came back negative in the herpes 2 came back positive for genital herpes now Cantest through the blood work being wrong by chance since she's never had an outbreak and just five months ago she tested negative for genital herpes and herpes if anyone can help me out with this so I can help her she is taking and I'm trying to be there to support her they wanted to get married they wanted to have children they do have one child but they wanted to have more and she's just VHS if she wants to be with him but then she's scared because she's afraid that she will not find anybody to ever love her or be with her because of this disease
