Crib bumpers?

I just saw a post of a girl wbo had crib bumpers and people said they are a no no. Which I knew for little ones. My baby sleeps in a bassinet with me anyways. But when they get older I hear of parents saying there kid got hurt on the bed rails. Do you ever put them on? thanks!

The problem with crib bumpers is that they are a suffocation hazard. Serious injuries in a crib are extremely rare. It's possible they may bump the rails from time to time, but that's a much better alternative to suffocating with the bumpers on. Personally I would just leave them off entirely.

They make breathable mesh bumpers, and I've seen them at target.

I have air wraps on my cot it’s the safer alternative as they are breathable & I live in a place that’s to hot for big padded bumpers too 🙂
