Has anyone done a baby budget?

Question

I'm an extreme planner so I have set up a baby budget and I'm like holy crap! 
I needed to scale back what I wanted for my nursery by a good few hundred dollars and am now looking for DIY solutions. 
Not to mention, baby clothes, feeding items, things they don't tell you about (like screen doors to keep the cat out), hospital charges, emergency cab charges, etc. 
Anyone else doing a baby budget or has some ideas of hidden costs to include and prepare for?

We chose a convertible crib, it was 299 but will go from crib to toddler bed to a twin bed frame. A pack n play will work just as well for a bed plus some have the changing pad attachments. Facebook buy/sell/trade pages are awesome for baby items and consignment sales for clothes are the best

why would you need to keep the cat out? why do you need cab fair ? illm so confused.

I think it is a smart to set aside for hospital fees-payment plan or not sometimes something unexpected happens and it's better to have some extra set aside in case. I've been buying necessities I'm not likely to get at a shower like wipes and diapers whenever I find a coupon and they're on sale. We also had a 20% off coupon we used on our travel system-saved us $60! Basically, I've been buying things as I go along with any coupon I can find. We also created a budget and I recently refinanced some debt to lower my monthly payments, making room for daycare costs. There's just something about planning for such things that makes my anxiety go away 😂

You don't need a screen door to keep the cat out...I have a cat and she actually avoided the baby until she was 4 mo. Occasionally she sits in the crib with her but at the opposite end during nap time, or she hears her crying and runs in there and sits until I check on her. At night she doesn't bother baby at all.

Hey, for everyone saying I don't need a screen door or I can pay for the hospital fees later on, thank you. 
However, I would like to be prepared and paying everything in advance gives me peace of mind. If I saved the money and don't need it, great! More for my baby. But I would rather have some costs savings wherever I can prepare for them. 
 
I would like to know what YOU would add to your budget.

You can find good furniture for cheap at yard sales and thrift stores and then a coat of chalk paint and some new knobs have it looking brand new. You'll get a lot of the major things and baby clothes and all that at the baby shower. For clothes you need after that you can watch for the 50% off sales at Carter's. Cloth diapering would save you thousands over the years. Your cat is very likely going to be afraid of the baby for awhile and a screen is unnecessary. If you don't want the cat in the room then you can just close the door. As far as hospital and cab fees the hospital bill can be paid with payments over time and you should have plenty of time after labor starts to get to the hospital. 9 times out of 10 it's not like the movies where water comes gushing out and an hour later they're pushing baby out. And in the event that you did have a movie scene labor I'm sure someone at work would be willing to drive you to the hospital.
