Military boyfriend

So .. my boyfriend is in the military, however he is in the navy reserves. He's now thinking about going active and said he wanted to start his paperwork in October. I honestly don't know how to feel about it. We haven't been dating long, but he has good intentions for himself and me. I was just wondering if anyone else is going through or has gone through the same thing. I would LOVE to make friends that have military boyfriends. I feel like a pity party for my friends where they're boyfriends aren't enlisted because they don't exactly know what we go through.
