I feel pregnant, but am I??

I tested 5 days before my period, and it was negative ( i could see a slight faded line) but the test took almost 9 minutes to show anything . I tested today at 4 days before my period and it was negative. I feel pregnant, but I had a miscarriage a little over a month ago. I had one period and we were wanting to try again. But could it be to early still? Should I wait to test again? I have the same signs as I did with my son who is 17 months now!
