Breastfeeding breasts feel less full
My milk came in almost immediately after baby was born and she's been a good eater and gaining weight as far as I can tell with just my bathroom scale between her dr appts and at first I was engorged and my boobs were hard and hurt all the time, then I went to being really full a little while after feedings and feeling kind of achey during let down, and now my boobs feel pretty much soft all the time except while I'm actively feeding.
I'm not even leaking overnight whereas before I'd have soaked breast pads or a towel.
My let down was very aggressive before and I've been trying some different positions to moderate it for baby so I think it still may be but I can't tell as much.
Baby has also been nursing way longer than she was before (like 35 mins compared to 15).
Also I got food poisoning five days ago and have been pretty dehydrated and under nourished since then, so I'm a bit concerned.
I did see milk squirt out yesterday while she was eating, and had leaks from the non eating boob while she ate this morning so I know something is coming out.
Question is, do you think now that my baby is a month old my boobs are finally getting with the supply and demand situation and just filling as needed, or am I losing milk?
