Back story:

I fell pregnant November 2014, weighing 130lbs

Gave birth July 2015, weighing 285lbs

Lost 50 of that instantly, literal water weight (polyhydramnios)

Cervical cancer scare November 2015, ate my feelings knowing I could lose it easily... not the case.

Under active thyroid diagnosis came one year later November 2016, after having no periods and being unable to lose a single ounce for that entire year. We went to the doctor because we were TTC #2 that year too, and they say to go in 1 year after trying with no success.

Here we are, September 2017. My hypothyroid is under control, ovulation/periods are back (currently experiencing my first cycle since November 2015.) Weighing 298. BMI is 44, I am 5ft 9in so I hold it pretty well. Everyone says I don't look like I weigh almost 300lbs but the fact is, I do. The thing with having an under active thyroid regardless if your levels are optimal is, your metabolism still sucks and it's still extremely hard to lose that weight. I've tried everything, I don't need to list them; just know IVE TRIED. I've gone broke trying every single thing under the sun. I walk/jog 2 miles daily, if not every other day- still unable to lose on my own.

I have my very first weight loss surgery appointment on the 28th, my insurance requires only 6 months of weight management (6 weigh ins) before scheduling surgery, 18 months after surgery is when it's safe to become pregnant.

So, the second child I've been so desperately wanting will have to wait a good 2 more years.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WERE ME

Stay fat and get pregnant then get skinny again.

Get skinny again, then get pregnant and not gain over 150lbs this time 😂
