I used Implanon (a small rod inserted into your arm) for almost 6 years; I had it removed and a new one reinserted. It lasts 3-4 years and worked perfect for me. I had no side effects that I can remember and I was and still am terrible at remembering to take pills. I basically stopped getting my period (only got it right after insertion and when it was time to be replaced), which I liked. But I do know some people like getting their period so they know they're not pregnant or believe it's healthier. It's also highly effective. When I used to go to the doctor, they wouldn't even bother giving me a pregnancy test (may be against proper medical/office procedure). Anyway, the procedure isn't bad at all either. They numb you first and then all you feel is a weird sensation and pressure. I no longer use birth control, but if I did I would without a doubt go back to Implanon.

I liked the ring.   no device in my uterus that could become implanted,  I'm in a monogamous relationship and we never liked condoms,  I would forget daily pills but I had a ringtone once a month to change out my ring. no fuss no muss

I was told by my midwife after having my son that they don't give the depot anymore because of how bad the side effects are and women are having a hard time getting pregnant years after stopping it.

out of those options definitely the pill! Drop shot sucks. when I used an IUD it fucked up my system! I had unpredictable periods and severe cramps not to mention the month of bleeding when I got it taken out. I personally love the Nuva ring. It's once a month doesn't interfere with sex and doesn't mess with your system.

The IUD is the best! I've had it for 2 and a half years and it's been amazing, I don't have to remember to take anything, it's just an amazing BC method. Also helped with my periods a lot! And the sex still is amazing even with it in, I highly recommend it!
