Who thinks baby showers are suppose to be a surprise? My mom and my sister are throwing me a shower, I've expressed I don't want a surprise party. I have said other things I wanted and everything I've said about my own shower, (by the way this is my first baby) has been shot down because "I'm not suppose to plan my own shower" or know about it except I made the guest list and a registry for it. Also I've told them to involve my mother in law, so she can be apart of this and the same has happened with her. My mom and sister have totally taken control and I just don't know what to do. I've tried talking to them about it and I feel like I get no where. I am so grateful for everything they're doing for me but I just feel like they're throwing the party for someone else and not me....

Thoughts? Suggestions?
