Friends with Kids

kelsey • I love being a mama to a little girl. We love you Lily Pad ❤️

Both of my closest friends have kids. And it's discouraging that every time I bring up a conversation about wanting kids they say things like don't do it, wait, get married first, it'll be too much for you right now with a new house, it's a lot of work, you can't just pick up and go where ever you want all the time anymore, etc. And then they throw the, but it's your life thing in there. I wish I had the same support I gave them when they were pregnant. It hurts even more having to hide the fact that I've been trying for months now. I've stuck up for myself but for whatever reason that's still the opinion they have.

honestly people with kids know things that those who do not, do. It really sounds like they are trying to say it's hard .. in the wrong ways. Also they seem like they're trying to look out for you. The see the change of a new house and different stresses in your life. Though they have no business saying what they are. Just try and ignore it. I know it gets in your head but you do you !

I just wish they would use their experiences as single moms who did not plan for their child as an example rather then trying to discourage me from trying for my own. My situation is the complete opposite of what there's was like. And I understand 100% it's hard. I guess I could just use the support.
