Removed IUD still no period???

Question

I got my IUD removed over a month ago. I had the typical bleeding a couple days after that lasted a week and now I haven't had a period in a month and a half. Every test I've taken says not pregnant and I'm pretty sure I'm not but I was always regular before. My hubby and I are trying to conceive but its hard to do when my body isn't behaving... should I be worried is this normal after and IUD?

An IUD will have similar effects that other birth controls do like not getting back on a regular menstrual cycle for a while. All your hormones are changing so it may take awhile to be regular again. If it goes longer and you are still worried, just talk to your doctor 😊 I was also just reading that if you did have your period while on an IUD you are more likely to get it soon after removal than if you didn't have AF at all while on an IUD. Every person is different, I wouldn't be too worried. But again if you're concerned just talk to your doc 😊

Thanks! That'll give me and the hubs peace of mind.  I've never used hormone altering forms of bc, just condoms, before but after getting pregnant twice  I figured I'd suck it up and give it a try... never again! Haha.

I had mine removed I bleed four days after for 3 days Dr said it's ur first full period since for 3 yrs I didn't have one due to the iud then the month after I was regular. It's your body rejusting no worries

I got bud removed in October and didn't have a cycle until then end of December so it took my body 2 months
