training for a marathon in a few months, and My husband and I plan on conceiving a month after (that is when insurance kicks in) is it possible this might cause us any issues?

Unless you have amenorrhea (no period) due to your training, there's no reason why running should have any affect on your ability to conceive. If you do lose your period you may need to ease up and gain some body fat back before your cycle sorts itself out again. But this can all be done after you nail that marathon!
