Sexuality in pre-teen BOYS

Hi all I need your help. So I caught my 11-yr old boy watching porn and masterbating. My heart was 💔

I talked with him and he seemed very ashamed, perplexed (other than getting caught by his mom.)

He said he didn’t know why he was doing it, like something in his head was telling him to do that to himself. He said he wished he was a little boy still and not have to go thru this cause he doesn’t understand what’s happening!

I let him know it’s normal to touch himself but NOT normal to watch that stuff. I had a brief but calming conversation with him since obviously we were both dumbfounded.

I tried to make him understand that it is part of growing up.

I plan on speaking with him again to reiterate this concern. He just seemed so scared as he expressed.

I want advice from other moms here of your experience with your young boys. What did you say? What did he say? What is going thru their minds? Help!!

I’m feeling so helpless.
