Kombucha Tea Safe?

I'm not pregnant but am TTC. I also recently started drinking kombucha tea as a source of probiotics. Has anyone talked to their doctor about drinking kombucha while pregnant? Has anyone drank it through their pregnancy with no problem? The American pregnancy Association has it listed as a natural source of probiotics for expectant mothers, but I just wanted to hear from someone who drinks it too. Thanks!

Last I heard, kombucha was NOT safe. Why not just take a probiotic pill?

Be sure to read the label for alcohol content. The moment I opened the bottle, I could smell it. It's considered non-alcoholic at .5%, but it's there.

You can also eat fermented veggies such as sauerkraut, drink kefir and eat full fat yogurt for probiotics.
