How much is too much? Confidence or attention...

Different opinions on how 
IG models & public figures, seem comfortable with posting "controversial" pictures of themselves...now is it okay & safe, is it just confidence & embracing ones body? Is it attention seeking/unacceptable. Or do you think that women & men don't have the same rights or send out a different message when it comes down to this, eg: women are more empowering/educational while when men do it, it seems more narcissistic & wrong.

I think the opposite of what you're saying at the end. Studies suggest men take more selfies, because it's seen as a socially acceptable form of vanity for them. I would say women get more shit for posting stuff like this than men do. 
That being said, I don't care if people post pictures of their own body to the internet, regardless of the reason. I don't care to analyze it, either. I have a life, I can't be bothered to give a shit whether people on Instagram are confident or attention seeking.

I think progress photos are great for people who have worked really hard to get to where they are. But when it becomes a regular or constant thing for someone (men or women) to be posting photos of their bodies it gets old and it does seem like it's all just for attention. And then you get the women (sorry gonna pick on females for a bit) that have vids of their asses clapping or twerking and shit. Like come on girl have some self respect.

I don't get why people frame "wanting attention" so negatively. Humans are social creatures. Don't we all want attention, in some form or another? Why get petty with someone if they want compliments on a picture?

Personally, a body is a body. I don't find it saying more or less about a person because of what they choose to wear or don't wear, take photos or not take photos. I wouldn't necessarily do some of the things they do only because I prefer not to put that out for the world to see. Unless it's lewd, or overtly sexual and tasteful, (or morally wrong/illegal) I don't see a reason why people have a problem with it. And even then, if someone doesnt like it, don't look at it or participate in it. It's not my body, so I don't care. 
That being said, if people are proud of their physical appearance or wish to show off their art or style, then good for them. Just my two cents.
