Baby shower etiquette?? FTM help!!

So I have a good family friend throwing a shower from my side of the family and my MIL is also throwing a shower. Do I invite people to both baby showers? I don't want people to feel like they have to buy two gifts or anything but I also don't want them to feel left out because I want both my husbands family & mine to be together! 😫 some advice would be awesome. Yes, both parties are being planned without my help but I still obviously am helping with the guest list. Thanks in advance ladies! Also it will be a coed shower if that makes any difference. #confused
