Husband doesn't want to know the gender

My husband and I just started TTC. He does not want to know the gender of our future child until I give birth. I NEED to know the gender as soon as possible and I would love to share it with other people. He has said that he is ok with me knowing and telling people as long as he doesn't find out and he would be very upset and disappointed if he found out before I gave birth.

How should I navigate this? I would love to share my excitement with him and I'm disappointed he doesn't want a part in it.

My friend is currently pregnant and due late Nov. after trying to keep the gender secret she finally revealed it because she said it was too exhausting trying to keep it secret.

We already have male and female names picked out so that wont be an issue.
