Basal temperature??

Can some explain how to check basal temp and how is this helpful to trying to get pregnant

Answer

Your basal temperature is your temperature in the morning, before getting out of bed or doing anything. For some reason, it is a pretty reliable predictor of where you are in your cycle. You'll need to track your temp everyday for a couple months to get a baseline/prediction of when you ovulate. Basically there's a temperature spike once you ovulate (so you'll know AFTER you ovulate- it'll help for next cycle). Then, once you know about when you ovulate, you can time your activities to the days leading up to ovulation to give you a better chance of getting pregnant. It can also help determine the cause of fertility issues like not ovulating and it can give you a more accurate due date/conception date when you're pregnant. Glow and other apps can keep track of it for tou and predict it for you.
