I did but to get the baby moving around, they had me use the restroom

I was told to have it full but needed to empty my bladder as I was having contractions and he couldn't get the baby to move for him. I had to empty my bladder for abdominal ultrasounds at 6 weeks and 9 weeks also.

I have a letter for my 20 week scan and it says to attend with a full bladder. Had my gender scan at 16 weeks and was told to drink two pints the hour before, how that's meant to happen, I have no idea! But a fuller bladder helps push baby forward.

Initially, most techs like it to be full so they can get a measurement but then they let you potty before they finish the scan so you can relax.

My hospital request to have a full bladder, to drink 36oz an hour before, it’s helps the machine get better pictures.. the only ultrasound I haven’t had to have a full bladder is the transvaginal ultrasound

I called two places and one told me to drink 750ml hour before the other said a full bladder not required. Feeling confused
