Can your therapist give you the green light for MMJ?

Question

I just got approved for my MMJ card, but they said I need to to to my regular doctor to get the green light but you all already know that doctors don't want to approve it because they want you on all kinds of meds. I want to ask my therapist and since some therapists are clinically licensed and trained to prescribe meds, I want to know if therapists can give the green light for MMJ too.

UPDATE: My therapist said that she can give me the green light for MMJ but she said that I can use it for anxiety, not depression.

In my experience with psychiatrists some will refuse to treat you, however there are some that will. It's a matter of mixing different types of medications that they are worried about for example they don't have access to the knowledge of strains you are using to medicate and if those strains are going to react badly to the medication they prescribe you. I have found it best that I treat most of my ailments with the correct cannabis solution and then instead see a psychologist instead.
