AM I NOT GETTING PREGNANT BECAUSE OF MY BMI?!

I have a BMI of 30 which makes me considered obese. This is mainly due to me being so short also (I'm 5' 1") but either way that's what it is. The RE didnt seemed particularly THAT concerned as all my other hormone levels, no PCOS etc. everything checked out. I have been TTC for 8 months now. Can anyone vouch for being this same BMI and not having problems or does my weight play a bigger factor than what it seems?! i have tried to lose weight but my body seems to be holding on to it either way. Suggestions comments advice from all welcomed!
