Normal amount of fussiness for teething?

Oh my goodness I'm not sure if this is teething but my 8 month old, normally good sleeper...was up for 4 hours last night crying on/off. I would get him to sleep and he would wake 15 min later and just scream.... that cycle went on for 4 hours!!! is that normal for teething?
My daughter didn't get teeth until 11 months but she did not scream and cry like this is it normal for babies to be in so much pain they're crying like that??

Motrin or Tylenol! I would of gave in at a half hour of a screaming 😂 how did you do 4!? I dont like giving Tylenol to my LO but if they're that uncomfortable than they need some help to sleep. You can also dilute lavender with coconut oil and rub it along their jawline and that helps with the pain. Your LO is much older than mine and you can do diluted Clove oil also and rub it on their gums.

Every single baby reacts differently to teething. My first didn't even care about teething. He teethed and I didn't even know it until he bit my finger one day. My second absolutely had a horrible time with it. He was always feverish. Always in pain. Always crying. My third was in the middle...sometimes he cried and other times you wouldn't even know he was teething.

Could be teething.  That kind of crying was always ear infections for us.

its possible,  are the gums white or red? ( as opposed to pinkish lol) every baby reacts differently

All kids are different. That's not normal for my kids.

That being said, if my kids went through a horrible night like that, it was generally for a reason. For instance, often a night or two later my kid would be really sick. I feel like often they feel it coming before we can detect it. Sometimes though we don't know why they are acting the way they do until days later.

Lots of things can impact sleep such as mental and physical milestones, sometimes teething, illness, etc... I try to worry less about why and focus more on keeping routines, supporting my child, and getting them back on track. Nightmares have recently become and issue for my 19 month old as well. Just the many phases of life.

Many studies state that teething isn't even painful. I have mixed feelings about this. I have 3 kids and although it's certainly not debilitating, it's obvious that sometimes it causes discomfort for some kids, especially molars.
