Advise for new moms?

Hey ladies I’m a ftm. I’m really looking for as much advise as possible! Whether it’s advice for labor, or just motherhood in general or advise for having a newborn. Any type! 💗

I wrote this on a other post recently aswell. honestly one of the best peices of advice someone gave me was to drink LOADS and loads of water straight after the birth and for the next few days or weeks. It dilutes your wee meaning it's way less acidic so it won't sting when you pee! I didn't know this for my first and decided to instead NOT drink making it even more acidic and extremely stingy. with my second I drank loads and I was able to pee normally straight away. honestly it's a life saver. one which i don't know why the midwives don't tell you!

My advice would literally be to read, read, read! And spend as much time as you can on this app, because it really does offer a lot of insight. Look up articles on misc pregnancy, childbirth, and nursing. Subscribe to parents magazines, ask your OB doctor literally any questions you have, and really pay attention to the info they give. Don't ever feel stupid for asking questions, it is the mark of a caring parent. 
Research & establish with a pediatrician and lactation consultant early. Definitely go on a pre-labor hospital tour, talk to a nurse about a birth plan, ask questions. Sign up for parenting classes. 
But most of all just read about everything. When I first discovered I was pregnant, I felt like I didn't even know what questions to ask because I didn't know a blessed thing, but through reading, and googling, I found I was pretty prepared once my time finally came, and you'll find that as you become educated on what to expect, the whole process becomes much less daunting, and you'll feel a sense of control, (despite so many things actually being out of our control during pregnancy & childbirth)

Stay calm, trust your gut, don't be afraid to ask for help! And don't let other people pressure you into doing what they think is right for your baby and your family!! ❤️❤️
