My parents are very racist. In high school (20 years ago -wow) I met and really liked a boy who happened to have beautiful brown skin. He was so smart and got himself a full scholarship to a really good college. He had his shit together. I went home and maturely told my parents I wanted to date him. My mom beat the snot out of me that night and obviously denied that request. Yes, I dated him for a year in secret without their permission. I'm an old fart now and I don't regret it for a second. He was such a great human being and my parents are such assholes

My boyfriend and I are both 18 but his parents are basically insane so they don’t know he’s dating anyone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s been over a year now and it sucks but I love him so I believe it will get better with time. At 16 I doubt it’s worth it, you won’t be moving out for years yet but it depends on you

My advice to is to maybe talk to your mom b4 you do it like hey mom I think I'm ready to take that step. But if I was ur mom I would tell u to wait as long as u can because that is something u can never get back once u give it away u can't get it back.  She might have some good advice.
