Pelvic ultrasound!? Anyone else had one?

I went in for a Pap and if they come back normal they want to do a pelvic ultrasound had anyone had one what was it like? What was your results?

I've have a few for different reasons! They usually do a pelvic ultrasound for very early pregnancy detection. It's a wand probe that they use jelly on and insert. It's very uncomfortable and your feel a lot of pressure. If you get a tech that does those types of ultrasounds regularly it's a little more manageable.

I had one due to chronic right side pain. They did a "Normal" ultrasound and a pelvic. Pelvic was just awkward it did not hurt at all. Once it was in you feel pressure. Results were thepain was not due to a cyst! They didn't find anything unusual however I would imagine if there was something to be found they would be able to see.

I've had one. It was a little uncomfortable depending on how the wand was moved, but it wasn't the worst thing ever.

The results are going to depend on why you're having it done. I've had multiple due to ovarian cysts and unknown pain and they were super uncomfortable, but, not unbearable. You will be just fine! :)

I had one done to diagnose my ectopic pregnancy this month and it didn't hurt. It was slightly uncomfortable if anything but (as weird as this may sound) I'd choose that over a pap - if that gives you an idea of levels of comfort.

I had to have one very recently to check and see why I was getting so many UTI's. It wasn't bad at all!!! Definitely did not hurt.
