transition into own room.

I've put off putting my 17month old into her own room for too long so tonight is the 1st night. Any body got any hints or tips to make this a big easier on her? or me? (I'm a mess) She's not a great sleeper as it is. Won't sleep without one of us in the room and if she gets very upset you can bet she will wake an hour later full of energy. It can take up to one hour to get her asleep. Poor hubby is currently sitting on her bed room floor waiting for her to settle for the last 30 minutes.
