I took my 4 month old to get his vaccines with my family doctor and she told me at his 6 month appointment he will get a flu shot that’s free to children. I said “I am not sure I want to give him one, I need to think about it”. She quickly said “babies and elderly people die every year from the influenza the flu shot is to protect him”. Now...I understand the concept but I don’t know how I feel about it. Would you give a 6 month old the flu shot? I don’t even give it to myself. My mom is an old school woman and always taught me that it’s good for kids to get sick here and there.
