Metformin and ovulating?

Question

I started taking metformin 3 days ago, and got my period today. I haven't had a period in over a year. My question is, how do I track my ovulation? Should I test with ovulation test in about two weeks? I have no idea otherwise. Thanks in advance!

I took ovulation tests day 10 of my cycle. I never got a positive until I finally did! I was so happy. I was convinced the tests were faulty. Don’t give up

I've been reading that opk don't really work with pcos because it's always going to look a little positive. What worked for me was tracking my bbt and cm. Pcos will also tend to make it look like your ovulating more than once a cycle. I am also on metformin and it took less than a year and losing 20lbs for me to ovulate and get pregnant. I am not sure what kind of pcos you have though because some women are over weight and some (the lucky ones) are lean. I also tried sticking with a keto diet, although I cheated some times because carbs are so delicious. What dosage of metformin are you on? I am taking 1000mg every day. I also found taking it in the morning gave me better energy all day.
