Does anyone do breastfeeding, pumping, and formula?

I am having a hard time getting enough milk plus he falls asleep while breastfeeding them screams and is so hungry even after he is awake.

OMG yes I do alllll 3!!! It’s so exhausting. My LO was tongue tied so we had struggles from Day1. Plus I had Csection complications so my milk didn’t come in on time. Ended up in NICU for a day. She lost 12% of birth weight. Everything is fixed now and she’s gaining. However I’m still supplementing with BM or formula. I’m just so worried she isn’t getting enough from me. Routine is wake her to eat right now. Hopefully we can get to feed on demand soon. I literally have to wake her for almost every feeding. I do 10min on each breast and then she gets a bottle. Then I pump. 
So far I’ve gotten 72hra of strictly BM supplement but then I run out. The most I can pump solely is 80ml and after nursing only like 30-50ml. However she nurses and then downs 60-80ml before she’s content. Or if I skip a feeding and just pump she takes 90ml. So yeah literally my body cannot feed her 😩 it’s depressing and a lot of work to do all 3. But hoping eventually we won’t have to supplement as she becomes more efficient at nursing and if my boobs quit slacking 😡

I would definitely top baby up on formula just to make sure they are getting enough milk. :)

The more you supplement with formula, the more you’ll need to work on your supply, tho.

I'm doing all 3 as well, same issue as you, I went to a lactation consultant. I was concerned my LO was getting tired while breastfeeding and and not getting enough milk out so he would fall as sleep, he also has toooons of collics/gas etc, she checked him and me and breastfeeding is fine. He latches on totally ok. So she recommended trying to keep him awake while eating, and medicine for the collics. Now he eats much more than I can produce so I supplement with formula, and pump right after he had his formula for 15 mins. Even if no milk comes out. I am taking the "'mother's milk tea" (store bought). All that to encourage production. So far he has been gaining wait so 🤞🏼!

I did all 3 at the start since my supply wasn’t quite enough and baby girl wasn’t gaining/was teetering on losing. It was stressful but we would offer breast first, then what I would pump while nursing (I would use a haakaa during feeds so that I wasn’t losing any milk at all) then I would pump/power pump while she napped. We would add one 2oz formula bottle a day (per recommendation of our pediatrician/LC). once she got back to birth weight it’s been pretty much EBF with maybe 1 bottle/day or more if I go out and Dad needs to feed her, or if we are out somewhere and she won’t latch (she doesn’t always like being under the cover/won’t latch to boob if she’s over stimulated).   LC Just told us to try and do paced feedings when we would give a bottle (either breast or formula) so that she wouldn’t end up rejecting the boob since bottle is less work.

Yes, especially since I started back to work.  I pump what I can, nurse at night and on weekends, and have formula for him during daycare.

i was doing all three. right now im doing breast n bottle cause when I breastfeed she doesn't really get enough so I finish with a bottle. im waiting on my pump to come in so I can just do one thing instead of two.
