Losing virginity late in life...anyone else?

Just trying to figure out if anyone has had a similar experience. I am 32 and just recently lost my virginity with my boyfriend. The reason I waited so long is that I was raised in a religion that does not think premarital sex is ok. I've since changed my mind about things. I'm glad I made the decision I made, and we love each other. Despite this, I have this lingering "voice" I guess in my head telling me to be ashamed. Anyone else experienced or experiencing this?
PS. Please, please, please do not respond if all you are going to do is guilt me for having premarital sex. I don't need that!

If you grew up thinking that you should be shameful about sex, it is completely understandable why you feel this way. But also know that you do NOT need to feel ashamed. Regardless of religion, premarital sex is entirely each person's decision. And you decided to have consensual sex with a person you love. You waited for love and that's a beautiful thing. You should feel good. Sex does not have to be shameful. God did not intend for sex to be shameful. And I think, although many religious people disagree with me, that having sex before or not until after marriage is up to you and your relationship with God. "Marriage" in the legal sense looked very different in bible times. I think it's hard to say for sure what God would have to say about how things have changed and what we do differently than in the Bible. I don't know your specific religion is or if you still consider yourself apart of that religious, but any church that has made you feel shameful about certain things, is not a church or organization you want to be apart of. Please don't feel ashamed. You waited this long, and now you've given your virginity to someone you're in a loving relationship with. There's nothing wrong with that. It's a beautiful thing.

I was like 26-27 when I lost my virginity, mostly because I had severe anxiety and didn't have a social life and the meds made me have no sex drive, I'm 32 now and have a perfectly normal sex life
