how long does the anatomy scan last ?

hello I just want to know how long does the anatomy scan last ? I'm 22 weeks 3 days today and im getting my anatomy scan in a bit. what should I expect ?

Update: I only lasted 10 minutes in there 😐 really disappointed. I thought it would be at least a good 20 minutes but the u.t gave up soon saying that that's all we were gonna get. He said so far everything so good. Still enjoyed seeing my prince.

Mine lasted a little long because my baby wasn't cooperating and stayed in the fetal position. Had to pee, jump around and try different positions to get her to move. But they check everything, with my hospital I go to though gender reveals aren't a big priority so if they can't find it, you're SOL

Just 10 minutes? I'm sad for you. We were there for nearly an hour with an uncooperative little baby. But, it was nice to see her flapping around.

mine only took about 30 minutes. it really all depends on how experienced your tech is, how good their machines are, how cooperative your baby is being, and whether or not everything is measuring correctly.

With my anatomy scan 3 years ago it took longer than the dating ultrasound but it was more comfortable because at this stage they dont need to do it internally. It was also more enjoyable imo because i was excited to know the gender and see my more developed baby. They let me buy a disk with video clips of my ultrasound as well which was nice. I dont think that is offered everywhere though. There is no need to be nervous! It is probably the most enjoyable/ exciting scan :). Enjoy!
