Induction Starting Tonight!

I am 40w6d today and have been feeling contractions since Thursday.....constant contractions since 6pm last night, with them ranging from 4.5 minutes to 10 minutes apart.

Saw my doctor this morning and I am still only 2cm dilated! She doesn't want me to go much past 41 weeks, so we are going in tonight to start the induction process! I will get get a cervix softener overnight and the Pitocin in the morning to start contractions.

Needless to say, I am super excited and super anxious, all at the same time! I'm a FTM, so all of this is new to me. Would love your words of wisdom or stories of induction to ease my mind/help me know what to expect!
