OPKs?

I'm new to ovulation tests and want to know when everyone starts to take the test, as in on what cycle day do you begin testing.

I start testing the last day of my period.

My cycles are wierd so last month i started as soon as my period ended. I did wind up getting a chemical pregnancy this last cycle. I started testing again yesterday because I'm not technically sure when my cycle started.

I used Mirena IUD's for 14 years and just had mine removed end of June. So far my periods and ovulation have been regular but given that I pretty much didn't have a period in almost 14years, I'm not 100% confident that I'll stay "regular." 
Because of that I start testing the day after my period ends. And will test 2-3x day as my predicted ovulation day gets close.
The Amazon OPK's are so cheap, that it doesn't cost much to test as much as I do.

I began testing cd7 once a day. CD10 I started testing twice a day. Once I go my surge cd14-15 I'd stop.
