Your period is the beginning of a new cycle. So yes, you have your period then ovulate approximately 14-16 (this number varies by a lot for those with irregular cycles) days later. If you do not become pregnant another cycle begins the first day of your next period.

I apologize ladies If I confused anybody I asked the question because I havent had a period in a long time due to me have PCOS . I never ovulated in these last 3 years so I was prescribed fertility meds Provera/letrozole and I had my period already and my 2nd day of my cycle I took the letrozole and which I got my positive OPK on September 23. I was told that you was suppose to ovulate before coming on that's where i was confused at because I came on my period and then ovulated later
