What is the best time to do an opk?

I honestly think it's different for every woman.  I've never gotten a positive OPK in the middle of the day.  My surge usually happens late/middle of the night.  That's why it took me so long to catch it bc I was testing at the wrong time of day for MY body.  If you've never used them, I'd suggest buying a lot of cheaper OPKs online, and testing at least 3x a day after your period ends.  Once I finally caught the line starting to darken around 8pm, I tested every 2 hours.  My first positive OPK was at like 11:30 at night.
