Is tonic water safe to drink?

Hi I've been suffering with really bad morning sickness which actually last all day and tonic water is really helping with it. But I have read that because it contains quinine which can be harmful. Anyone have any advice?

I hate it normally but just needed it because I felt so sick and I have been extra gassy tmi sorry. Didn't think I would feel like this so early on x

I've heard that it can cause hypersensitivity, but I'm not sure exactly where or how or with what. I do know though that you can switch to club soda which is tonic water with the quinine... Give that a try.
​I don't drink either personally just cuz I can't stand the taste.
