Spotting after period

Hi everyone this is my first time posting but I am in need of a little bit of help. Me and my boyfriend are trying to have a baby this year but it has been a little hard honestly. Earlier this month about the second week I started feeling very sick , constantly hungry, tired and sore nipples. My boyfriend thought that I may be pregnant so I took a test. Which was a faded positive. Then around the time I was suppose to have my period for two days I was spotting the third day I had a normal flow not heavy and the last day I was spotting again. My period was suppose to end two days ago but I am still spotting. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I go to the doctor and have another test taken?? This has never happened just a little confused.
