Delaying labor

So today my husband found out he is not qualified for parental leave unless the baby is born after January 1st, because of his company transitioning.

I feel like it's so not fair for employees who have children due in the last week of December! I am due on Christmas day, and I really want my husband to be able to get a leave, am already a terrified mess from the thought of having to take care of a newborn alone for the first time.

Do you guys know of any old wive tales or anything to make sure my daughter stays inside of me an extra week, or doesn't come out early?

I know it's a little selfish but I really really want my husband with me the first few weeks lol
